Our Breakaway has two (2) GVW's listed On the plate with the VIN, it is 26,990 lbs On the plate inside the access door to the generator, the Spartan plate, lists 29,000 lbs This may have been due to Barth putting Michelin 225 80R's on when the coach was constructed. Has anyone else found this inconsistency? Bud 1993 Breakaway 36ft & 1977 20 ft Spartan: air ride and brakes & P32(?) Bud - as a Barth novice, am unable to offer any intel on your 2 different GVW readouts. Guessing the same chassis was able to be used with additional GVW. We just received an "Incomplete Vehicle Data Sheet" from Gillig today and it lists the GVW for our VIN as 25,300 lbs - 8,100 front axle and 17,200 rear. It is a Breakaway 33XG. This is less than I was expecting due to the Gillig chassis which is traditionally heavier. It does specify 9Rx22.5 load range F tires which all 6 of them are. It has a 250 HP Cummins 8.3 with a Banks upgrade and Allison 3060 and has very good power. I am very happy to have this last missing piece of information since the data tag is missing. This gives us complete documentation for the coach. Thanks again to Rusty for pointing us in the right direction. Rich Farr - Tulsa | ||||
