The front, back and area around the roof vent leak pretty heavily. It looks like there are seams covered poorly in tar. I read that shouldn't be used. I'm wondering what I should use on the roof as it appears to be mostly a single sheet of aluminum. There are seams at the front and back that appear to be the leaking points. I was looking at some sort of sealing aluminum tape.

I used the peel and stick for mobile homes. It's a kind of rubber tape. Clean the surface as well as possible and apply Dyco lap sealant over the edges. Mine has lasted years with no looseness or leaking.

I used a butyl tape tape on mine that looked to be what was originally used from the factory to seal the front cap. I think I bought it a home depot and used a heat gun to get it soft and pliable.

Eternabond has worked well for me.
