Rare indeed. The later Avion class C was painted and shaped very differently. Both were made in Benton Harbor. Construction is equal to, or better than, Airstream. The Cayo family founded Avion. There is a good Cayo repair shop in nearby Coloma.

1972 Cayo Motovator 22' Class C Motorhome. Manufactured by Avion. It is very rare.. Only 600 were made! It has a Dodge Sportsman van chassis with a 360ci V8 engine. 78,xxx miles on odometer and RUNS great! I have a clear title in my name. Brand new Exide battery ($115). Nearly EVERYTHING WORKS!

So, I will start with what does not work or needs TLC:

-Built-in Onan generator probably needs a tune-up (I never ran it since I bought the RV 4 years ago). Needs an RV "house" battery too
-Fuel gauge not working (fuel requires a lead fuel substitute additive)
-Radiator hose needs replacing (pinhole leak when engine is hot)
-Brakes will need replacing soon
-Rear entry folding step needs to be fixed (not usable - I've been using a step stool)
-Dent in upper left, rear corner. Does not leak.

Fits in a normal parking spot, handles like a dream. Huge kitchen, New refrigerator (AC, not gas), Newer LP gas water heater, working air conditioning, big closets, 20 amp plug. All aluminum construction is well insulated, lightweight and will not rot.

20 gallon fresh water tank. Grey water and black water tanks (needs new 1.5" hose for emptying tank). Newer water pump (needs a new filter). LP gas water heater works great! Gas range and oven work (including exhaust fan). Toilet, shower and bathroom sink all work. Kitchen sink works. Two roof vents (one with an exhaust fan that works like a charm). All electrical outlets work. Any questions, please email or TEXT me at six one two 850 twenty four twenty eight. Please DO NOT call.
