Jim and TereHawkins Motor Coach
Is Hawkins Motor Coach as good as they seem? I've done some research and while they may not be a structurally sound as Barths, they do use aluminum tubing in the roof and sidewalls. Also, their fiberglass is layup rather than the type of fiberglass that delaminates easily. I've only seen one person on the site that had one at one time. They were made on a variety of chassis as were Barths.

RustyHawkins made excellent coaches, and until I found my Barth, they were on my short list. There's a reason they're pricey.

That's the operative phrase. Think I'll just continue to work on my little Class C. I have a name for it. "Bert IX"

Jim and TereBefore I lost my mind, I let it go. Will wait for Roger to get tired of Old Blue

Steve VWReminds me of the old story..
Aino (hey, this is the UP of MI and they were Finlanders...) comes driving into Sulo's farm. There is Sulo working feverishly on the snowmobile in the back of his pickup truck.
Aino drives around Sulo twice, slowly. He stops. Finally, Sulo says "what's the matter?"
Aino shakes his head, says "what do YOU mean? Are you crazy? You got a wife, kids, a farm, cows, pigs, trucks and a tractor. What the hell do you need a snowmobile for? Ain't you got enough trouble already?"
Kind of like another RV...

Jim and TereYes, Bert IX is our 9th. We had two Breakaways at one time. Now we have the Class C so we have something to work on and a little Minnie when we want to go to the grocery store. Old Blue would be three. Tere would have a fit. And I'd have to make the garage bigger.

Jim and TereCorrection: Minnie not Minnie Winnie

Jim and TereI have just been told by someone sitting close by that there is a difference between a Minnie and a Minnie Winnie. I don't know what it is but I do know a Barth when I see one and nothing ever made in Forest City, Iowa can be confused with a Barth
