1947 Packard motorhome built by famed boat builder & racer Paul Prigg
of the Prigg Boat Works of Miami Florida.
This fact is documented in the Jan. 1950 issue of Popular Mechanics magazine, page 115.
There is a link below if you'd like to check it out.

To say "needs complete restoration" would be an understatement. Back then, they were called "house cars". When I was active in the antique car hobby, I REALLY, REALLY wanted a 'woody'. drove to look at a few. There was a guy in Battle Creek, MI who hand made Ash woody bodies for Model A Fords. But, then (as now) I did not have the skills to do much or the construction, or restoration, on my own. have the utmost respect for you guys with the skills.

Why two threads for it?

Got to admit it would be a timeless project. Working on the wooden top reminds me of Dad's 1927 cabin cruiser. The sides and interior look like vintage aircraft stuff, then there's the Straight 8 Packard, (almost as cool as a V-12)

If I only had the time and 3 or 4 industrious sons to help me! mechanic
