At the Milford GTG discussion was had that doing a Breaux Bridges, LA GTG might be on the horizon. The attraction to this place(which I'd never heard of) is that it is the craw fish, aka dad, capital of the world. This festival has been so named since the 60's. They have an annual festival with food, music, & more food check out the vendor list, etc. I am providing the website for your perusal. The dates of the festival are May 6,7,8, 2011. http://www.bbcrawfest.com/index.html
have not yet looked @ more camping areas but the website says that across the street from the festival is a parking lot for anyones use. You must be self contained. There are 4 or 5 places that aren't official camp sites they are parking lots & you must be self contained there too. Looking at the website it looks like a great festival. Let's start talking about it. Billy T. if we do this we want to sponsor you in the etouffee contest.

Question:
Who might be interested in this GTG?

Choices:
Yes
No

I might go myself... I just won't know what kind of schedule I can pull with the kids, vacations, planned Nascar trips and my other mechanics vacation schedule. Will know more in early 2011. I would suspect that others might fall into this trap about planning a GTG so far off.

Yes, I want to go... I just can't pull the trigger now.

Finally a GTG near us! We would sign up later in the summer and would recommend considering the Frog City RV Park (http://www.lafayettervpark.com/index.html) The T Shirt is worth the price of admission and we might be able to get a group discount. This would require TOAD's to go to Breaux Bridge for the festival but it only about 20 minutes away. I have stayed here and it is first rate.

Edited by Rusty to make the URL a link.

Crawfish are freshwater right!? Will check into the campgrounds rusty & Tom suggested. Billy T/Tom, have you been to the festival.

I have tried to suck the head of a crawfish before but couldn't get up the nerve to do it. What is so special about it & why cant we just open it up & use a fork.

Tere

We are up to 7 attendees (possible) This is a long way for some of you. Keep the post going with your ideas.
