My brother borrowed the barth, and went to Osh Kosh Wisconsin with a couple of his pilot buddies to the air show. He tells me that there were a ton of coaches out there but he did not see a Barth one....Anybody here attend?

Not this year, but I used to fly my antique Ercoupe there in the '70s, then later my '55 F-35 Bonanza (Back when it was the "EAA Fly-in"). Great fun, and a chance to fly in "oldies-but-goodies", only at Osh Kosh.

Not this year either. I met a friend earlier today who just got back. He said the F-22 put on quite a show. I asked whether it looked like attendance was down but he didn't think so. Good.

Like Rusty, I used to go pretty regularly. Especially in the 80s. I had a Part 135 air taxi certificate from the FAA and I'd run a six-seater (Cherokee Six at first, then an Aztec) over there from Allegan about 3 times each year.

Most impressive of all the visits?: The Concorde. Couldn't believe that thing doing touch & goes on the north/south runway, which, at the time, was 7,000 ft. long! You had to hold your ears, it was so loud.

Next to most impressive? Pappy Boyington in an air conditioned building selling his book about experiences of the Black Sheep Squadron, and the Japanese former pilot camped in the flea market selling his book about how he shot ol' Pappy down. (I'm not sure that time heals, but it sure does give you a different perspective after awhile.)
