Helen and I will be leaving Christmas evening, taking the Barth slowly up the Natchez Trace Parkway toward Nashville. We have New Years Eve reservations on the General Jackson Riverboat so we will be bringing in 2010 in style!

We did the General Jackson in 2006 and loved it ... especially the stage show during dinner. If you haven't been on the General Jackson before I can tell you that is a real treat! Enjoy.

It's worthwhile to stop at the Council House at French Camp - East of the Trace on Hwy 407 1/4 mile on the left. Great, unique, sandwiches and salads. You should be able to get in and out of the parking lot there, even with the toad.

Thanks for the feedback Carl! Wife Ver. 1.0 & I cruised the Gen Jackson in 1986, but it was just a day cruise. We cannot wait to see the Nashville City Scape at night. Maybe we will have a dusting of Sneaux! I take lots of pics so maybe one worthy of enlargement.

Rusty, I have made about a dozen trips up the Trace, the first back during Thanksgiving Week 1989 where we stopped at every single pull-out, walking every trail. I wrote a pretty extensive magazine article for Louisiana Camper Magazine in 1990, before the double-arch bridge was even built. Yes, French Camp is an interesting place, but so is is just about everything else along The Devils Backbone!

We are in our third day on the Natchez Trace. We spent Night one @ Rocky Springs , paused for three hours to watch The Saints lose yesterday and spent last night @ Jeff Busby. On the road again !

BTW. Helen found a new hobby while traveling. She logs into traffic cams to watch us drive by in The Barth! Way Cool! Actually we log onto to traffic cams to check traffic and detour if there are delays.

Well we made it to Twin Rivers RV Park, site 404, in Nashville a few minutes ago. After we got parked, Helen saw a familiar looking coach a few sites to our left. We took a walk and it is a beautiful late 80's or early 90's vintage Black & Silver Barth with Florida Plates???? It is a gas job about 27' long. Anyone have a clue who this may be? We will walk over tmrw and introduce ourselves. I will ask to photograph the Data Tag for our database along with a few of the coach.
