It's listed as a "Bath" !?! Anyway here is the Ebay Item number & link: 170202892975 I'm not comfortable with this type of drivetrain myself...overheating issues seem to be very common. As always, research carefully. 1990 32' Regency Spartan Chassis Cummins CTA8.3 Allison 4 speed

This is the same one, in the same place, that we looked at before we bought our Regency nearly a year ago. There are a lot of posts on it in the archives. I bet overheating is an issue. Look at all those air vents in back! It is truly unique in that it's really heavy duty ala a Regency. Even has an Allison 4 speed on a 34' Oshkosk chassis with 22.5" wheels. No air suspension of course. Or maybe it's more comparible to a 33' Breakaway? It's also had the full lux upgrades inside. It was lived in, fulltime for a while so needs some cleanup and no doubt some mech work. But don't they all? It had South Carolina plates on it. It has the original blueprints and books, as I recall. Makes you wonder why it was ordered this way, instead of the diesel option, but certainly would be cheaper. The side aisle full bath area takes up a lot of living space compared to the more usual split bath. The engine compartment looks similar to ours in size, and the tiny 460 leaves enough room in there to climb right in to work on it. Bet the right diesel expert could re-engine it with a Cat or Cummins. Couldn't they Bill!(Hint!) They were asking $13k for it on CL last spring. Taking the hint............Yeah, if one could find a donor late model 5.9 pickup for the whole engine trans, electronic package, it would be a good swap. And regear the diff, of course. That said, the 460 is a decent enough engine. The carbed ones were gas hogs, but in the grand scheme of things, not much worse than a 454. However, the ad is as lame as I have seen, particularly in the lack of a floor plan or enough pictures to get the layout visualized. I have mixed opinions on side aisles, depending on the coach. I think a person has to actually sit in the coach to get an idea of whether he likes it or not. Some side aisle coaches do not have the black tank under the toilet. That is a deal breaker for a boondocker. As for the engine cooling, there is no cooling situation that cannot be addressed with proper radiator capacity and air flow. A custom radiator and some decent fans would do the job. If I liked the coach, I would not let the location of the engine deter me from buying it. However, the cooling situation could be expensive for an owner who pays for mechanical work. But, on the other hand, perhaps a high flow water pump, a custom radiator and the use of Water Wetter could solve the problem. That could be done fairly cheaply by a decent mechanic and could be all it needs. Don, was it side radiator or rear radiator? . 84 30T PeeThirty-Something, 502 powered

Bill It was great meeting you and Susan (and Hobbs) at Quartzsite. I cannot remember were the rad was. We had gone down that way to look at a 92 Breakaway in Macungie Pa. and took this one in since it was nearby. I would want way more torque for a Barth this size so really didn't do more than enjoy looking at another Barth. BTW, we are still on the road ,in Texas now, heading east towards Florida. Still to cold at home! We love our Barth! Don and Patty 1990 Regency 34' Cummins 6CTA 8.3 240hp Spartan Chassis, 4 speed Allison MT643

I drove this Barth about 3 years ago when it was in Indian Land, South Carolina. Cosmetically, it was nice. But when you stuck your foot in the gas pedal, it went nowhere fast. That was enough to turn me off. I did like the basement storage, though.

Anyone from our group bidding on this? The info that I see in the listing shows that it is 1988 not a 1990. My coach (1989) is number 3588 build number 8902. This one is 3569 8810. I was interested, but he also has not answered some of my questions about running condition. 89 Barth Regal 32 New Hampshire

Since I traveled to Harrisonburg last week to look at the 32' unit I have caught a bug for a bigger MH. My wife and I will likely ride (trip canceled, too far and layout is not what we really want) to PA in the morning to look at this unit. I talked to the owner today and the Barth was on the road at that time. He claimed that he drove it 50 miles to the auction house it is now located at. He spoke as if it has been camped in in the past year and has recieved over 2k in maintenance. Maintenance included tires and tuneup. It is a pretty good haul for me, and I have take a day from work (vacation day that I could use camping) to see it. I wish I knew about it earlier. Bidding stops after noon, so the new owner will know how much it goes for by then.. If it is a 88, it probably does not have fuel injection, which is a minus from what I have read. I found SOB that I want to look at tomarrow too... Momma wants a bigger MH Doug Bywaters Near Skyline Drive Virginia!

Most likely Throttle Body Injection ("TBI", rather than ported injection); better than a carb, of course, but less efficient than injectors on each cylinder. Hmmmmm............two members seem to report low power. The 460 is a strong engine. I wonder what that thing weighs. The 22.5 wheels and the reports make me think it could be pretty heavy. . 84 30T PeeThirty-Something, 502 powered

I'll put my 2 cents worth in. This was a pretty nice coach to look at. The owner(a dealer)loved it so much that he wouldn't budge from the 29K price. I don't remember the low power issue my husband mentioned earlier. My 2 issues were price & the coach felt top heavy. I think it had 2 or 3 steps outside of the coach. I like being closer to the ground. Tere

I guess there are 3 issues I had. #3)I felt a little claustrophobic with the mid side bath. (personal pref-rear bath) From what I remember the bath was red & black, very retro feel. Tere
