That does look like a nice unit, unfortunately

a) out of my price range, and
b) I don't think they can be imported into Canada (anything newer than 1996, I believe)

Otherwise, nice find. It'll make someone a very nice coach.

Can someone PLEASE tell me why I shouldn't go down there tomorrow with my digital camera and and maybe hit a bank on the way down. As the commercial for the HDTV by Jessica Simpson goes, "I don't know what it is, but I want it." Maybe I could just scratch and sniff a little. Any who I have a new computer screen background.

You shouldn't go down there because I can't come with you Smiler

Seriously, if you do have a chance to wander over there, I think we'd all love to see some more pictures of this unit, if only to add to the Barth porn image collection.

OK, I know this coach and I didn't know I did. This coach is owned by Henry Dodds. He and his wife are just about the nicest folks in the world. They came to the rally I had in 2003. This coach is flawless. It is not a Breakaway but is a 34M-XL on a full basement Spartan air ride chassis and an 8.3L 300HP Cummins and a 6 speed Allison. Henry is going to get me interior pics but it will be a couple days. This coach is kept inside.

J.R., I am putting it on the line here and telling you there isn't any reason for you not to head on down there. Henry is pricing this right on the top number of the book (if you know what I mean) and wants to sell it to buy a new Class B, Lexington.

Henry has owned a couple (or more) Barths and bought all of them new at the factory, including this one. This was the last one of this type made and they pulled out all the stops for him.

As soon as Henry has pics for me they will be here.

Gentlemen, I seen this coach at the Barth Rangers Rally in Titusville in last November. This coach belonged to Jim and Helen Dodds at that time. It is a very nice coach. I really thought it was longer. This coach has excellent strorage bays and one thru storage with joey bed.
Don Scalzo was there also and might could give more info on it. At the time Jim said that was the last barth produced. Happy motoring. Sky

Was the company solid enough at this point to build a good coach?

Gorgeous! IMHO, Jim has priced it just about right. It has enough miles on it to be sure it was kept running, but not so much the drivetrain's tired. Where else can someone get a Baby Newell in that price range?

If I weren't so happy with StaRV II, I'd be waiting in his driveway tomorrow morning...

Actually in a closer check, I have the correct name. His name is Henry but I seem to remember him going by Jim too... mystery.. but he and wife are jewels for sure.

Speedy's wife is Jewel? That explains how he can afford those fancy coaches.

Deb and I recall the Dodds from the rally her in Minnesota and they are just the nicest people. Always having fun and always of good cheer. They were like Jewels to me, if there is another double meaning I am not aware of let me know.

And Henry Dodds and Speedy are two different people. Speedy's last name is Hoyle.
