Sometimes I forget to think before I thump the keyboard. Looking back at my original post I wasn't very tactful. I do, after all, own the UGLIEST Barth ever. The interior pictures show that the cabinetry Barth was famous for lived on in this coach, as I'm sure it did in Gunners and many others.
In an effort to keep the peace I feel an apoligy is in order, so I'm sorry I didn't keep my opinions and observations to myself regarding this coach.

Hi,
The Barth is on a ranch in the Kirkland area, about 45 minutes outside of Prescott. It's probably 3-3-1/2 hours southeast of Bullhead City.

What is that supposed to mean? I have one of the "later units" and it is a Barth in every respect, including being built in the factory at Milford with traditional cherry cabinets. Corian, laminate flooring, etc doesn't mean it "isn't a Barth". You offended me, and probably other owners of more recent -more modern- units.

I think I'm the "missing link" between the new and old styles as I originally became familiar with the Barth Marque by falling in love with an aluminum relic in upstate NY while on vacation. The relic was sitting neglected in someone's yard and years later I became the proud owner of the '97 Monarch that sold on this website (looks exactly like this one on the outside).

Having owned a self built 65 GMC schoolie, numerous conventional termite feeders, a diesel pusher Thomas bus, and a MCI tour bus prior to my Barth, I feel pretty qualified to state this is the finest in all respects... perhaps with exception to the classic lines of a "vintage" machine.

I feel like I now have the build quality of the MCI, the air ride of a Prevost, the safest braking system known to vehicles (air brakes), the long lasting drive-line of a tractor trailer, & the interior of a luxury home. As much as I love the older styles, you can't deny the newer Barths are in a class of their own! Hope this helps any "lookers" of the '96.

BTW - that old relic showed up on EBay years later , resurrected and likely on the road again...simply amazin!

We had a local upholstery shop make that. He put the gromets, etc on as well.

Hi,
Yes, both front seats sit even. I'm sorry, but I don't have a picture of the shower. Here is one of the lav & you can see a small part of the shower door thru the mirror. It's a brass framed clear glass door and the shower is the typical fiberglas stall with dome skylight above. If you call Mr Moore, he can give you more specifics.

Sorry, but those cabinets look like oak to me, not cherry. I agree about quality. While Barths might not quite be in the Prevost or Newell price range, we think the quality is just as good. Our original factory invoice in 1995 was $225K. So $75K depending on original price, condition and specs might be a fair price although we have not kept current with the current sales prices. We were offered 60, turned it down and glad we did. And remember Mr Newell and Mr Barth were good buddies and lots of people have mistaken our coach for an older Newell. And one guy thought the front end looked like a fire engine. Well, many used Spartan chassis so that's understandable.

You are correct, they are Oak cabinets. I thought I must have made a mistake in the listing, but re-read it and I have stated they are Oak. The Cherry cabinets mention you read is a post from someone describing his own Barth. This coach most definately has Golden Oak cabinetry throughout.

Right! I was responding to the guy who said that were just cherry cabinets installed at the factory in Milford and in that ours is all original and a golden oak as well wanted to be sure people weren't thrown off by that. Good luck on selling it for your friend. It's one of the later ones, that's for sure.

I would guess that this coach would sell for less than $60K in the current market - more realistically <$50 K.
