They say that you can wish upon the stars and dreams come true. Well, if that's the case ..... I'm wishing for the Philadelphia Phillies to win the World Series this year . And nothing against you fans of other American League teams, but we fans here in the Philly area want another shot at them stinkin' Yankees !!! Damn, all we had to do was hit the ball last year and we might have been going for a three-peat this year. But that didn't happen and now we are just wanting a return of a parade down Broad Street !

Just kidding, but Philadelphia has not endeared itself as a great Fan base of late!

I will say the standing ovation for McNabb went a long way in restoring my faith in the true sentimental underpinnings of that great city.

We're really not that bad, just passionate and educated. It is a blue collar sports town that will support ANYONE that gives 100%, even if they lose. But if you just go thru the motions, the fans will let you know about it ! Now as far as our competition....NO MERCY !

What can I say....one walk away from a perfect game in the playoffs ---only the second pitcher in history to pitch a no hitter in the playoffs ! It's DOCTOBER in Philly !

It was a thing of beauty! Now our Rays have to start playing ball so we can meet in the series.

Phillies over the (Devil?) Rays for World Champs.... I'll go for that.

Pretty interesting ... Phillies fans want to play the 'Yanks in the World Series for a pay back from last year , Rays fans would like a chance at the Phillies again from two years ago (can they beat Texas?)and the 'Yanks just want to get there again (their up 2-0 in their series). Then there are the new comers to the playoffs this year that just want a chance .
Baseball playoffs are here! Let's go Phils!!!

The Astros are cheering for the Phils and Yanks - Hell all our good players were "lent" to those teams so they could have a chance at a World Series ring. Drayton McClane (owner) says he has their word we can have them back next season. We most want Brad Lidge to win - he carried us to the 2005 Series.

As I have been away for a long weekend, this is the first I have been able to brag, I mean respond , to this post....
Phil's sweep the Reds ! And that is without a good game from Oswalt. Maybe that is why the Astros lent him to us ... He'll be just fine in the next series, you watch. Next to go down...SF Giants !

Oh, well...

Phillies are done . We Philly fans are VERY disappointed . No matter how good the pitching, 'Ya gotta hit the ball to win ! Good Luck to those Giants in the series. Hey, at least there are a couple of ex-Phillies over there to make it easier to root for them. Then again, there is a pitcher in Texas that was here last year and he is still doing the same thing there he did here...WIN GAMES!

We hope Lidge,Berkman and Oswalt come back to Houston so we can start building our team again.

Super, millions of dollars salary, overpaid slugger looks homerun pitch right into the catcher's mitt.....series over...season over! I root for Philly teams and they almost always let me down. I guess I'll have to support the local teams of my newer locale.
