Jim; I'm sorry if you did not get my reply. Sometimes I send brief answers and sometimes I contribute essays and sometimes I click on something and all is gone...somewhere we all will never know, I appologize. There were no such round things on my doors or door posts, I can't help you. I would suspect that you could improvise something for the purpose, even though it won't be authentic BARTH! . Oswego John: I tried to remember and root around the remains to see if I could give you a helpful answer. The best I can recall after finding a piece of "quilted" naugahide was that it was adhered to a plywood panel. There was window trim above it that held the panel in place there. There may have been a piece of molding (divider) vertically on the after portion and little (teeny-tiny) square holded screws anchoring it at the bottom. The forward vertical edge....I don't recall. My patience has a tendency to leave me after a few shortcommings when trying to preserve all components of the fabulous BARTH. Please bear in mind that it was last summer that the local authorities gave me the ulimatum to remove this violation from my "front yard". Which probably put somekind of stressful urgency to the project. Actually they really weren't breathing down my neck althiugh the stress was present. When I was born here 78 years ago this was rural and a person could do with his property what he damned pleased. Now I guess I offended someone, who is probably younger than this Barth and comes from some city far away. Well GOD Bless America and I still love and served the Land O The Free.! Dick Dubbs: I got anxious and lifted the glued vinyl. The aluminum panel that it covers is riveted to what I believe is a structural tube for the front corner. I got out the hole saws and started drilling access holes in the aluminum to see the back side of the antenna. I think I am there but I am not sure the new antenna wire is going to pull through the channel. It doesn't look or feel like there is any clearance. Hopefully when I reglue the vinyl trim the access holes will be hidden from view. Thanks for giving this some thought. John Oswego John 1978 27' FP3 Chev P30 w/ 454

Oswego John I'm sorry you had limited success. On my unit the vinyl was glued to a plywood panel when removed exposed insulation, wiring and channels. I don't recall any aluminum. 29' 1977parted out and still alive in Barths all over the USA
