Oh, how I loved the 1800ES sportwagon when it came out. Thus, when the BMW Z3 (or was it M3) hatch back came out, I was again in love. Unfortunately, the only Volvo I ever owned was a 245 and was so expensive to maintain. Nothing generic or aftermarket could ever be substituted for what had to be replaced.

Probably the Z3 M Coupe. I has that long nose and the sloping rear to the end. The M3 is more conventional looking, but a heck of a car. I have the M3 Cabriolet. Great handling and performance all around.

10% of the selling price. The 240 series, when compared to similar cars, is not expensive to maintain. NAPA stocks most of the suspension parts, belts, water and fuel pumps, clutches, seals, brakes,relays etc and fuel and electronic parts are a lot cheaper than newer cars. I can find a well trained Volvo mechanic in any city that will work for $60/hour.

The 142E is $3500 and the 245 is $4995. Tere will post pics since I am 'technically' (i.e. lazy)
