Having previously owned two Barths, I couldn’t resist it when I saw an old 24’, ’78 Barth along Highway 99 (central CA) a few years ago and took it home to fix it up. Turns out that most of the steel under the coach was rusted out and was a much bigger job than I thought. As most good intentions do, with time and diminished physical ability, mine followed the inevitable path. I’m going to list this poor baby in the for sale forum and if there are no takers, I’ll part it out and call a local salvage yard for disposal. It’s currently not running. Except for corrosion around the wheel wells the body is OK. It has a new 35 gal propane tank and a new porcelain potty. Bumpers are straight but the rear has a couple scratches. Furniture fair, 2 couches and a booth. It’s the FP3 with a rear bath. Any way, if no one’s interested in it by mid September it will go, one way or the other…then I’m going to get a Barth that doesn’t need a complete restoration.

This coach has a new home and is NO LONGER being dismantled

I'm taking pics of the coach in the next couple days to post in the For Sale Forum and will be sure to include one. Basically two opposing seats and table. Hope to have them in by this weekend.

Does it have an electric step & is it one or two steps? We have been looking for a one step kwikee replacement. If you part it out & you have one I'd be interested. Might even be interested in first dibs on the porcelain potty.

Jim and Tere,
Unfortunately, a manual step. The potty is a Thetford, I forget which model. I'll be taking pics tomorrow or Thurs and Bill N.Y. is going to post them in the For Sale Forum for me. I don't imagine it will be sold whole so if you see anything else, let me know. I received an offer on the front bumper today (Ohio) so it seems some folks have an interest in parts.
Thanks,
Herb

Herb, definitely want the steps and probably the potty. Is the step a 1-step or a 2-step. How wide is it? Also need gages, especially transmission temperature gage including sending unit if you have one, and a tach. Will you be taking pics of them as well?

Jim,
It's a stock P30 instrument cluster and I'll get a pic of it. The 84 Regal I had, had the individual gauges. I have a meeting in the AM but hope to get some pics in the afternoon. It's predicted to be 104 tomorrow so it might be first thing Friday. I'm sending the pics to Bill N.Y. and he has kindly offered to post them for me.

Thanks Herb. Can you take a pic of the steps also? I can use them even though they are manual if they are the width I need.
Thanks

Jim,
I'm going to attempt to attach a pic of the step. The width is 25". Having only basic skills with computers, I never know what works. I'm a little better with emailing so we could do thhat if you want.
Herb
PS Sydnee (the one in the interior pic) is part of a set of five and I'd be happy to offer the set but I couldn't afford the divorce.

Thanks to all who have replied. I'll be starting to disassemble Barth after the 14th lest someone wants the whole coach. Some have posted or emailed me about specific items and I'm making a list (no, not who's naughty or nice) of those things. I'll remove all Barth specific items such as bumpers, emblems, mud flaps, probably the windshields and anything else someone might need. Let me know and then I'll look into the cost of shipping. If you hadn't figured it out, this was my first venture into the forums and I've a lot to learn. Thanks for your patience.
My email is herbmaryalice@aol.com if you wish contact me on line.
Thanks,
Herb

Keep posting, with practice comes knowledge. The more you post, the more fun it becomes.

It's a shame that it might be parted out Frowner

Thanks for the encouragement Bill. I may get the hang of this yet. If it is taken apart, I'll get the manuals to you. Also any help on my question I posted in the General Discussion Forum would be appreciated.

I am really sorry to see this piece of history go to the scrap pile but I also understand about the time, money and trouble to try and restore it. Hopefully a lot of its parts can be "transplanted" to other Barths. Do you have another Barth or are you "shopping"?

I'm currently shopping. Looked at what was advertized as a Regal but I think it may really be a Breakaway. I've asked for help in the General Discussion Forum on this quandry.
Thanksfor your interest.

I think I want both windshields, any cracks? Are they still up for grabs? My body style is slightly different from yours at the back but otherwise it looks the same the windshields are 3'high x4'wide.
