We have the flexsteel seats original to our '85 Regal. Driving for me is difficult because my feet barely touch the floor. I was wondering if anyone had a seat post (without the seat) that raised up & down for short folk like me. I tried to put books under my foot but to raise it up rather than me down but I was still uncomfortable.
Our seats are manual if that means anything.

FlexSteel manual don't have height adjustment; one alternative would be to get medical telesoping retangular extrusions. These are common for adjustable astro-mount piers (I have one - but mine's 120VAC).

An instatalltion should be able to be done for around $1000, with a lot of customer work.

Tere, If you all are still going to Milford in May, there are a lot of rv surlplus stores in Indinia. I have seen pedstels for sale with power seats. I have six way poer seats and when I had them out to recover, the pedestel and the power unit were seperate. If you have the cylinder pedestel, you could takeit off and have it shortened. If fabricating one doesn't seem to be what you're looking for, I believe with some modifications a Marine Seat Pedestal Base might work for you... But, it wouldn't be DOT Street Legal.

I've seem some pretty big boys on these seats and have yet to see one break off or telescope down. Just a thought.

Or, for only $16.49, you could wear these as driving boots.
